Ebonyi Youths call out Gov. Umahi for Ordering the Police to Shoot at Peaceful 1million march for Peter Obi Participants

The youths and several residents of Ebonyi state, has publicly called out their state governor, Engr Dave Umahi, for ordering the men of Nigerian Police Force, NPF, to disperse residents who came out to hold a solidarity march in support of Mr Peter Obi, their choice of president in the coming general elections in 2023.

Some marchers as well as the organisers of these solidarity march/rally, in support of the Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, were on Saturday tear-gassed by the police in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, in South-East Nigeria.

 

 

Members and their supporters had gathered along Mile 50 to embark on a rally to canvass support for their candidate but were stopped from going into the streets.

One of the supporters who spoke to Channels Television, Nwali Ikechukwu, said some persons were injured when the security agency came calling.
