
Some angry and disappointed students of the University of Benin, has blocked the ever-busy airport road which leads to the entrance after the airport as they continue their strike actions.
The students who started the protest across the state, called for an end to the on-going ASUU strike, which have taken a new gear today after the academic union announced that the strike will go on for another 3 months
This development which has resulted in a major gridlock on that axis is in fulfillment of their resolve to remain on the streets till their demands are met by the appropriate authorities to enable them to return to classes.
The protesting students maintained that the twelve weeks extension of the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union Of Universities is unacceptable to them.
ASUU however, threatened that the strike will go on to become an indefinite one if their demands are not met.
