Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers state, has declared running for president in the coming 2023 general elections – LatestNGnews.com reports

He made this declaration in Makurdi, Benue State, according to a statement by his Special Assistant, Media, Kelvin Ebiri, in a meeting of the party stakeholders, in a meeting of the party stakeholders, where he stressed that his priority would be to tackle the festering insecurity in the country and engender rule of law.

Speaking in a video of the meeting that surfaced online, Nyesom Wike was seen saying that power is taken and not given, so for APC to be dethroned in Nigeria as the running power, they have to be dethroned, adding that he is the person that can dethrone APC, stressing that he is ready to take it for PDP.

Of course, he added that he can’t do it alone, that he will need the grace and power of God to back him up. Wike also said that the ruling party, APC is making so much mistakes in their governance because God is not with them.

He also urged the party members to give their maximum support, so he can return power to PDD
