Nigerian singer Davido has penned a new deal as the latest ambassador of WEMA bank PLC. The deal comes after the the singer opened a new bank account for his birthday donations which raked nearly 200m in 4 days while he was in Dubai.

He tweeted later that the banks wants wants to meet, in a tweet which reads, “Wema wanna have a meeting.” Ordinarily, it was assumed that they’re meeting due to the compulsory KYC that every account holder must do in order to unlock the full features of his/her bank account.

However, as the fundraiser got heated, the bank hopped on the trend and made a post online with the inscription, “Na bank wey Davido dey use we go dey use now.” Which was reposted by many and later turned into a meme.

But sources later revealed that the bank officials flew to Dubai to meet with Davido, and that trip was for a new endorsement deal with the singer.

However, Davido who recently returned to Nigeria has finalized the talks he started with WEMA bank in Dubai, and according to sources, the deal comes with a brand new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. These details were released in a series of tweets by a twitter user “@ManlikeIcey”. See his as part of the deal.
