Cristiano Ronaldo Wants to Leave Manchester United Because The Teams Failed to Qualify for big Tournaments

Cristiano Ronaldo announcement

Manchester United star, Cristiano Ronaldo, has asked the club to let him leave after the premier league giants failed to qualify for big tournaments, following their poor performance last season.

Citing that he would be unable to compete for the big leagues and trophies like the UCL, the 37 year old Portugal international said that he wants the club to let him leave if they receive a satisfactory offer for his services.

This is coming after the 5time Ballon D’or winner made sensational comeback to the Old Trafford last year, from Italian champions, Juventus, signed a two-year deal worth £12million and was very instrumental in bringing Manchester United to the position they ended the league, which might have been lower without him.

Times reported that Ronaldo’s desires to leave the Red Devils, is fuelled by his desire to play the UEFA Champions League, adding that he (Ronaldo) believes he only has 3,4years left in his professional football career.

In a report published to The Times, Duncan Castles has reported;

“Cristiano Ronaldo has asked to be allowed to leave #mufc should the Premier League club receive a satisfactory offer in the transfer window. His decision is driven by a desire to play in the Champions League for the remainder of his career.”

Castles continues to say;

“Cristiano Ronaldo believes he has “three or four years” left at the highest level and would like to spend them at a club where he is capable of adding to his team and individual achievements.”
