Popular Nigerian singer/songwriter, television presenter, publisher and activist, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, fondly known as Charlyboy, has mounted and led a protest against the brutal killing of Deborah Samuel.

Charlyboy, who is alos one of Nigeria’s most controversial entertainers, said that the protest was to homour the memories of those who died through jungle justice, guilty or innocent and to seek justice for those of them whom justice is due.
In the protest, the protesters demanded an immediate action by the government to stop the incessant cases of jungle justice across the country, Charlyboy said
