Business and home owners counting in hundreds are currently stranded while some are already thrown into confusion after a bulldozer was spotted last night trying to gain entrance into the estate.
The resident called for an alarm to awake all home owners in the estate as well as business owners to come out and protest the following day after almost all the structures in the estate was marked for demolition.
But things took a different turn when most of those business and home owners became stranded at the gate, following their inability to ply the Magodo Phase 2 Estate gates to navigate their destinations in and out of the estate located in the Shangisha area of Lagos State.
LatestNGnews.com correspondent who is a resident of the affected part, gathered that the Magodo Residents Association closed the estate gates after suspected landgrabbers led by men of the Nigerian police force invaded the estate to claim possession of property in the estate on Tuesday.
Our correspondent also reported that the men in police uniforms, also came with some suspected hoodlums to mark several houses for demolition in the estate at around 9:50pm on Tuesday.
During the invasion, the suspected land grabbers, while being fortified by the police, used red and brown inks to inscribe possession taken on the various properties in the estate.
