Bandits Shed More Blood And Kills 3 in Fresh Attack on a Sokoto Community

Despite several cries and protests by residents and citizen of Sokoto State the heart hardened suspected bandits, few hours after Governor Aminu Tambuwal left the area, still invaded  and launched an attack on Kurawa village in Sabon Birni local government area of Sokoto state, killing three persons.

Governor Tambuwal was in Sabon Birni area to pay a condolence visit to the families of the travelers who were burnt to death by bandits along Sabon birni-Isa road on Monday, that claimed the live of 23 people.

 
 
 

The Governor had announced a donation of ₦250,000 to each of the families. Daily Trust reported that the bandits invaded the village around 8pm on Thursday, shooting sporadically. A resident who survived the attack said;

“They came during late night prayer, shooting sporadically. They killed three of our people and injured several others who are currently in the hospital,” 

 
 
 

Spokesman of the Sokoto Police Command, ASP Sanusi Abubakar, could not be reached for comments. There has been a nationwide outrage over the gruesome killing of the passengers.
