Baba Suwe dies at 63, Nollywood Looses another Veteran Actor

 Babatunde Omidina, popularly known as Baba Suwe, a well-respected, veteran, Yoruba comic actor,,  has passed away at the age of 63. He died on Monday November 22, after a long battle with an undisclosed sickness which has kept him off the lights, camera and action for a while now.

His passing unto eternal glory was confirmed by his son, Adesola Omidina, in a short statement he issued via his Instagram page which reads;

 
 

This is to announce the sudden death of my father Mr. Babatunde Omidina. The legend and rare gem “ Babasuwe “ 11/22/21

Baba Suwe was born on August 22, 1958, and was married to comedienne Omoladun Omidina, passed 12 years ago in 2009.

 
 

 His comic roles dominated the Yoruba movie industry for decades, featured in several movies, and won several awards.
