The Anambra State Ministry of Woman and Children’s Welfare has rescued a 13 year old girl who gave her name as Esther Victor, who was impregnated by the husband of the madam, whom she gave her name as Madam Ghana. She was rescued at St Benedict Hospital, Adazi Nnukwu, after a resident of the area visited the hospital to see his friend/relative that delivered a child.

While he was there, he couldn’t help but notice to little girl in the same ward, who was with a child and was nursing the infant, he engaged the girl and stared asking her question, that was how he learnt that the girl was impregnated by her guardian, who also abandoned her in the hospital because of hospital bill.

He did a video interview of the girl and posted it on Facebook, and the Anambra State Ministry of Woman and Children’s Welfare caught wind of the story and got the man arrested.

In the video interview, the girl said she’s from Akwa Ibom, while her biological parents stay in Agulu, Anambra State, said she was not the only one who was touched by the pedophile called Mr Sunday

“Mr Sunday’s wife is known as Madam Ghana. This started when Madam Ghana travelled to the village. I’m not the only one involved. There is another girl who is seven years old, Mr Sunday used to sleep with her too,” she said.

“I once told Madam Ghana about it, and she cautioned her husband, but when it continued, I could not do much any longer.”

The spokesperson of the ministry, Miss Chidimma Ikeanyionwu, who confirmed the incident to journalists on Monday, December 12, 2022, said that the culprit, Mr Sunday was arrested on Sunday night and handed over to the police and would be charged in court soon.

She quoted the Commissioner for Women and Children’s Welfare, Ify Obinabo, as saying that the Anambra State government would not tolerate such indecent action and that the government would ensure that they do not go free.
