Gospeller and deep thinker, Pastor Reno Omokri, has said that most of the troubles and worries a person faces in their life are tied to poverty, and npt necessarily the devil as many might think.

 

The former presidential aide gave scriptural references to backup his claims, citing that streets of heaven are paved with gold, according to Revelations 21:21 and that Christ became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich, according to 2 Corinthians 8:9.

 

Posting on his fb page on Tuesday, while addressing his followers, Pastor Reno said;

 

Every time you have troubles, you blame the devil. But in truth, almost all your worries are tied to poverty, not the devil. Joblessness, poverty, most types of sicknesses and frustration can be cured by money.

 

Poverty makes you think the devil is stronger than he is! And sadly, many religious leaders feed this fallacy by making their congregation think wealth is carnal and money is of satan.

 

Nowhere in Scripture is happiness tied to poverty. In fact, Scripture tells us there is joy in heaven. And we all know that heaven is not a poor place! In heaven the streets are paved with gold-Revelations 21:21.

 

In fact, ‘Christ became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.’-2 Corinthians 8:9. It is the celebration of poverty that is satanic!
