Police has arrested and paraded one Abdulazeez Tunde Ibrahim, a 27-year-old man in Osun State, who used jazz to buy a ₦2.6m worth of Toyota Camry Car popularly known as with “Muscle”, with ₦2,650. It is still still surprising how he pulled it off but luck ran out of him which led to his arrest.
Abdulazeez Tunde Ibrahim was among 10 suspects paraded by CP Wale Olokode who is the Osun sate Commissioner of Police at the police headquarters in Osogbo on Friday. The commissioner which speaking to LatesNGnews.com correspondent, said;
Abdulazeez went to the car dealer at his stand, chose the car and negotiated the price. Just like every other potential buyer at the car stand, Abdulazeez agreed with the car seller at a final price of two million six hundred and fifty thousand naira (₦2,650,000)
He (Abdulazeez) requested the account details of the car dealer, claiming he wants to make online transfer for the payment of the Camry.
But Abdulazeez Instead of paying the agreed ₦2,650,000, he transferred ₦2,650 which he later confessed to, during the interrogation. After the seller confirmed the credit alert, a payment receipt of ₦2,650,000 was issued to him and drove the car by himself to a car painting workshop to change the colour.
The Commissioner of Police said the car dealer later realized that it was N2,650 that Abdulazeez transferred to him and reported the matter to police. Olokode said police detectives traced Abdulazeez to Iwo and recovered the car from the painter’s workshop. The painter, Olayinka Bashiru was also arrested and detained alongside his client Abdulazeez.
