5 persons including to Reverend sister has all lost their lives in an auto crash which happened along the at Nawfia Anambra state, along the popular Enugu-Onitsha Expressway.

According to an eyewitness who spoke to LatestNGnews.com in anonymity, the accident which involved a Toyota Hiace bus and a Toyota Highlander, happened on the early hours of Wednesday, April 13, 2022.

 

 

The eyewitness also revealed that the Toyota Hiace belong to Handmaid’s Secondary School, Amansea, Awka North LGA, and was travelling to Amansea, returning from Ifite-Ogwari, Ayamelum LGA, where they went to purchase bags of rice for the school.

 

 

The bus had in it as passengers, Reverend Sisters, Principal and Bursar of the secondary school, together with their driver, other victims in a Toyota Highlander were later identified as Mr Emmanuel Okeke, former Anambra State Government Storekeeper, and the wife.

Another eyewitness who gave his name as Mr Ifeanacho Okeke, spoke at the accident scene that he last heard from his brother, Emmanuel around 5pm on Tuesday evening, and around 9pm his and the wife’s numbers were off, leading to search and the sad discovery early this morning.

 

 

An eyewitness, Mr. Chinecherem Okonkwo from Nawfia, said he arrived the accident scene yesterday night during light rainfall when the vehicles were still burning, but it was late for any meaningful help.

 

Reverend Fathers and Sisters were seen at the accident scene discussing in low tones, while others helped in taking the vehicles off the single lane of the Expressway for free flow of traffic.
