Former Nigerian senate president, Bukola Saraki, has declared his intention to contest for the office of the president of Nigeria in the coming 2023 presidential election.

Saraki made his intentions known, via a post he made on his official Facebook page;
“Earlier, I replied to a follower of mine on Twitter who like thousands of you has been clamouring for a united front to #RescueNigeria.
“As we prepare for the journey ahead, I hope we can all join hands to get the ticket of our great party, PDP, and build a nation that works for all of us.

Born on December 19th, 1962, is the son of Second Republic Senator, late Olusola Saraki. He was the Governor of Kwara State between 2003 – 29 May 2011.
He was also the 13th President of the Senate of Nigeria from 2015 to 2019 and Chair of the 8th Nigeria National Assembly.
